Effect of Gypsum & Bio-compost Applications on Relative Water Content in Rice Genotypes under Sodic Soil

چکیده
Sodic soils have immense productivity potential, if managed through proper technology interventions. Bio-compost is prepared by composting pressmud and gypsum received from waste material of mining can be used to reclaim sodic soils. Field experiments were conducted during the June-November 2018 2019 at ICAR - Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Sub Regional Station, Pusa (Samastipur), Bihar. Experiment was laid out in split-plot design with four treatments i.e. T1(Control plots), T2 (Gypsum@100% G.R. amended T3(Gypsum @ 50% G.R.+ 2.5 tha-1 T4(Biocompost 5.0 plots) main plots ten rice genotypes G1(Suwasini), G2(Rajendra Bhagwati), G3(Boro-3), G4(Rajendra Neelam), G5(CSR-30), G6(CSR-36), G7(CR-3884-244-8-5-6-1-1), G8(CR-2851-SB-1-2-B-1), G9(CSR-27), G10 (Pusa-44) sub replicated thrice. The promising results reveal that mean leaf relative water content pre-flowering stage salt-tolerant ranged 69.47 % 82.20 69.52 82.24 2019. grain filling all varied between 77.55 85.45 75.49 85.16 Soil amendments interaction found significantly both years stage.

متن کاملEffect of compost-, sand-, or gypsum-amended waste foundry sands on turfgrass yield and nutrient content.
To prevent the 7 to 11 million metric tons of waste foundry sand (WFS) produced annually in the USA from entering landfills, current research is focused on the reuse of WFSs as soil amendments. The effects of different WFS-containing amendments on turfgrass growth and nutrient content were tested by planting perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) and tall fescue (Schedonorus phoenix (Scop.) Hol...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effect of Soil Organic Matter on Gypsum Block Calibration for Measuring Soil Volumetric Moisture Content
Continuous soil moisture assessment and evaluation is essential for irrigation management and planning. One of the common methods for measuring the moisture content of the soil is the use of a gypsum block. The use of gypsum blocks in some cases, including the presence of organic matter in soil, may cause an error in the measurement of moisture. For this purpose, a laboratory study was conducte...

abstract three pear genotypes (nazkeh, lasoreh and qevilah), grown in 2l containers, were studied under four irrigation regimes in order to evaluate the leaf relative water content (rwc), photosynthesis, leaf gas exchanges and plant dry weight induced by water stress. control treatment everyday was irrigation. irrigation was practiced when soil water potential reached at -0.4, -0.8, and -1.2 mp...
